How to configure the MSN Butterfly account with IMAP settings?

Here are the steps to configure the MSN Butterfly account with IMAP Settings –
  • Click on the option of ‘Manual setup or additional server types’ and then ‘Next’ to move forward.
  • From the next screen select ‘POP or IMAP’. Click ‘Next’ to move further.
  • Enter the display name and email address. Also enter ‘Incoming Mail Server’ as ‘imap-mail.msn.com’ and ‘Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)’ as ‘smtp-mail.msn.com’.
  • Choose the option of ‘More Settings’.
  • Enable the option ‘Outgoing authentication’ on the ‘Outgoing Server’ tab.
  • Move to the ‘Advanced’ tab. Under ‘Incoming Server (IMAP) and TLS for the Outgoing server’ select the option ‘SSL’.
  • Make sure that the ‘Outgoing Server Port’ is updated ‘587’ and ‘Incoming Server Port’ to ‘993’.
  • Click on ‘OK’ and return to ‘Add Account’.
  • Adjust the Sync Slider and click ‘Next’ to test the settings.
